  1. The audit of accounts for South Mimms Parish Council for the year ended 31 March 2023 has been completed and the accounts have been published on this website.
  • The Annual Governance & Accountability Return is available for inspection by any local government elector of the area of South Mimms Parish Council on application to:

Draft South Mimms Conservation Area Appraisal

In order to help protect the character and appearance of the South Mimms Conservation Area, a Conservation Area Appraisal has been prepared by Hertsmere Borough Council. 

The South Mimms Conservation Area was designated by the Council in 1998 for its special architectural and historical interest, and as an important local village with medieval origins. 

The draft Conservation Area Appraisal provides a brief history of the area and is intended to define what is important about it. It also sets out a number of recommendations to help preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the area, including some proposed revisions to the Conservation Area boundary.  

Any comments or queries regarding the Conservation Area Appraisal and associated recommendations are welcomed by email to [email protected] or and should be made in writing to the below address by 12pm on Friday 28th July 2023.

Uncontested Election Results

As only four people stood for election onto the the new South Mimms & Ridge Parish Council all four have been awarded seats on an uncontested basis. A fifth Councillor will be appointed in due course.

Cathy McCaffrey, Mark Hedison and Chris Myers will represent South Mimms Ward, whilst Ralph Bania will represent Ridge Ward. Congratulations and thank you for your continued service to the community.
