SOUTH MIMMS WARD OF
SOUTH MIMMS & RIDGE PARISH COUNCIL
Pursuant to Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972 and the Local Elections (Parishes and
Communities) Rules 2006.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
(1) That a casual vacancy exists in the South Mimms Ward for South Mimms & Ridge Parish Council
due to the resignation of Councillor Daniel Becker.
(2) An election to fill the vacancy will be held if, no later than
27 November 2025, notice in writing of a request for an election is given to the Proper Officer from ten electors from the South Mimms Ward. Please mark the envelope or email as ‘Private and Confidential – Casual Vacancy’.

(4) If an election is not requested as outlined above, the Parish Council will co-opt a person to
fill the vacancy as soon as practicable.
NOTE: Any person who writes requesting an election should give their full name and state the address at which their name appears on the current Register of Electors. The written request must also be signed by the person requesting an election. We will not publish the details of any requests received. However, the requests may be inspected under supervision. The signatures will be redacted before it is inspected.
