Each year the smaller authorities Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an appointed External Auditor. For Hertsmere this is PFK Littlejohn LLP.
2025/2026 Accounts
We have now moved to using Xero Accounting Software which takes a direct feed from our 3 Bank Accounts, which means there is very little chance of manual entry errors. However our accounts still need to go through two audit processes, one ‘internal’ with a local accountancy firm, and then the external auditor as above. For the internal review our accounts have been reviewed by Mr Pat Sharma, Director of Brayan & Spencer Associates now and are now available for public inspection:

2024/2025
The Parish Council took over running South Mimms Village Hall and received funds from the closing charity to pay for the heating over the winter. We also received historic CIL payments relating to Ridge.
Other outgoings have remained steady and inline with forcasts and the Council moved into the 2025/26 Financial Year with £2,067.88 in the main current account, £4,296.73 in the village hall account and £11,513.21 of Community Infrastructure Levy funds (that can only be spent on community improvement projects).
